PDU Ensures Safe Power Distribution and Prevents Damage

The PDU distributes the supply voltage to the various components of the test system. It ensures testing safety by making sure that accessible parts are live only when the protective hood is closed. The PDU disconnects power when the Emergency Stop button is pressed. If the test system is equipped with a smoke detector, the PDU disconnects the voltages based on the smoke detector’s signal.

The PDU is always part of the test system, but it can also be purchased as a standalone unit. Versions are available for single-phase or three-phase operation, up to 32 amperes.
