Production and R&D Testers for Low- and High-Voltage Devices
ETSS’s customer-specific, customized test systems are designed for testing the electrical safety, functional performance, and quality of machines and equipment as part of the production process. We build advanced, fully automated test systems integrated into production lines that can be used to test both low- and high-voltage devices. Typical devices under test include frequency converters, power distribution equipment, electric motors, EV batteries, chargers, welding machines, electric boilers, and luminaires.
Tailored testers ensure flawless products and higher process productivity
Our test systems are engineered and tailored so that all necessary functions of the device can be measured in a single test cycle. The mechanical design is customized to the device under test, enabling electrical connections to be made as quickly as possible.
Automated testing significantly accelerates product testing and overall process throughput while improving productivity. A single test run ensures product performance and quality in terms of electrical safety, mechanics, and functionality. Automatic switching can be carried out from signals up to 1,000 A. Tests and measurements are performed in a single run – either by testing different interfaces separately, or simultaneously if they are interrelated.
Traceable test results
Test results are saved by serial number, either to the customer’s system or locally.
By reviewing the results, potential quality deviations can be detected at an early stage. Comprehensive testing enables the identification of defective products or components. The system also allows testing of subassemblies and prevents defective subassemblies or products from reaching the end customer. Eliminating defects at the testing stage significantly reduces claims and the associated rework and costs.
Measurement and test scope
A test system can comprise electrical safety tests, stress tests, and functional tests. Measured quantities include, for example, power, voltage, current, insulation resistance, leak tightness, rotational speed, and vibration. The system can control, for example, voltage, load, and temperature. Visual inspection can be performed using machine-vision inspection.

Our test systems and the associated Finero measurement devices are designed and manufactured at our own plant in Mustasaari, near Vaasa.
